Explore with Me – Panther Creek Trail

This month my adventuring took me on another hike. This time I was up around Morristown, TN at the Panther Creek Trail. It’s a really cute and mostly level trail. There are a few off shoots that go up to what they call an observatory but was really nothing more than a viewing deck. 

I like that it was an easy to moderate trail. So no parts of the trail that really had any sharp ridges or uphill climbs. It was pretty wide and clear. We met some friendly horses on our hike this time. Which I adore. So you can actually do trail riding here at this park. We also saw quite a few dogs on this trail as well. 

Though there wasn’t any high overviews and mountain views like you would see in the Smoky Mountain National Park areas it still had its own beauty and charms about it. The creek that the park is named after is a nice sized creek. The trail was well maintained and there were flat areas for picnicking and entertainment. 

This park also had an RV camping area as well as tennis courts and frisbee golf. I would definitely venture back but it wouldn’t be my first option for hiking in the future. It was very leisurely and on occasion I really enjoy that.
