This book started a bit slow for me to get into. I prefer historical fiction and I think that is the main reason why it was so slow at first. However, after getting into the story and learning about the characters I found the story realistic and interesting. The author is a fantastic writer and educated herself around the topics she covers in this story. I found that if you love modern stories that you will enjoy this one. I would definitely read more by this author if I come across her books again.
