Synopsis

My Thoughts
As an avid reader of historical fiction, Jen Turano, is an author I enjoy reading. Her style is quirky and fun. Knowing this and watching the story unfold before my eyes was so enjoyable from beginning to end. If you have read either of the other books in this series you would know that Camilla Pierpont is a very poised lady and is a respected lady of the 400. In this book we get to explore Camilla’s nonsensical side, albeit a little clumsy as well. I feel as if an earlier friend (Miss Adelaide Duveen see Book 2) has rubbed off on her a bit.
When introduced to Owen you don’t expect these two total opposites to even get along but I believe they balance each other out. This is something that is very believable as most of the time opposites do attract. Besides that I think Owen is tired of his normal routine as is Camilla. I believe she is thoroughly bored. Owen helps her with that. Her life becomes anything but boring.
I enjoyed this book immensely and found it fun and lighthearted. It is one I would recommend as well as going back and reading the other two books in the series. It would make a great weekend read. In my opinion reading one of Jen’s books will make you want to go back and read more of her books.
