Still Here, Still Standing, Still Striving
In my mind I have started writing this post several times. I don’t always know how to say what I am dealing with and I really don’t like to draw attention to myself. Especially when going through a challenging season. This year has been probably one of the hardest of my life. I’m not going to go into detail but to suffice it to say that one challenge quickly rolled into another and it just snowballed. In some of the things we have dealt with we can see a light at the end of the tunnel but the thing that started it all we are still going through and still standing on God’s Word to help us overcome. We will see victory in it.

During all of it I got distracted by the problem. I’m trying to keep my focus on the Word and what God says He will do. Yet, I still was focusing more on the problem than on the answer. This past winter I changed the name of my site from “A Little Bit of Everything” to “Aspiring to Live Blessed and Overcome with Excellence”. I now know that there was a reason I had to change it. I thought it was because there was already a site that had that name but it was more. God is teaching me through this season that I can still live a blessed life and be an overcomer even when it is hard. I am determined to walk this season out and come through it with excellence.
Notice I did not say I will come through with perfection. I said excellence. Lord knows I am not perfect and I no longer strive for protection. Instead I am striving for God’s excellence. This season is causing me to look deeper into myself. It’s causing me to filter out anything that is keeping me from doing and being what and who God has created me to be. I’ve already gone through the blame game with myself. I still have the thoughts that had I done things differently, could it have prevented what happened? Then, I am reminded that I can not fall into that trap. Not one person on this planet is perfect. The only perfect human to ever live has been Jesus. He was and is perfect and blameless. I strive to live like Him but without Him I can not achieve that excellence that I am striving for.
God has truly blessed me through all of this with family that has stood by us, our church family that has picked up the torch to pray and intercede on our behalf and some of the best friends I have ever had that truly has surrounded us with their prayers, encouragement and love. God put us in the right place for this season of our lives. It is so important to be in the right church. I don’t see how people can make it without, not only their savior but also a church family that can surround you in love and prayer.
All of that to say that I am not done. I will complete the task that God has put me here to do. I will continue to write, create new product and update the old. I am going to sell my homeschool printable products here in the blog shop as well as the one I have on the Teacher Pay Teacher site. I am currently updating the old products to give them a fresh look and make sure the content is still accurate (mainly on the state information).
I had wanted to do a full site launch but instead I have had to relegate it to a soft launch and rather than try to do some big thing to get this site moving I am just going to add a little bit here and there and begin promoting now. So bear with me in all of this.
When the time is right I am sure I will be writing about what has happened and why the break was so long. But God is working and He will continue to work on our behalf to see that we have victory through it all.
Thank you all for your support and love. Stay tuned for more Bible Studies, Homeschool materials and book updates.
