As you may or may not know I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading. My favorite authors include (but are not limited to) Robin Jones Gunn, Gilbert Morris, Kristen Billerbeck, Liz Curtis Higgs, Janette Oke, and Francine Rivers. Of course I also have enjoyed some wonderful stories from other authors as well but there are so many that I just can not list them all.
My husband is a HUGE Ted Dekker fan. He loves that thriller type of novel and Ted Dekker is right up his alley. I’ve read ALL of the Left Behind books including the prequals. Those have been the most intense book I’ve ever read besides reading Randy Alcorn’s book “The Ishbane Conspiracy”. Oh my goodness that was intense. I just normally do not get into those types of books. I like nice chick lit or historical romance. My husband talked me into reading “Obsessed” and okay I had to finish it to find out what happened. But I vowed to never read another Ted Dekker book after that. Not that he is not a great author but I just can’t read those kinds of books without dreaming about them. My darling husband tried to get me to watch “Thr3e” with him when it came out and I had my eyes closed through most of the movie. I couldn’t finish it. lol I apologized profusely but had to leave the room. I know he was disappointed but I just couldn’t do it.
He has talked me into reading yet another Dekker book this time “Blink” he says, and I quote “This is not freaky like the other books”. Okay I’m holding him to his word this time. LOL If this ends up being freakish you will definitely hear about it.
So are you a Dekker fan? If not who are your favorite authors? Or what are your favorite books?
My all time favorite’s have been “Redeeming Love” by Francien Rivers, Liz Curtis Higgs scottish series and of course growing up I was a HUGE Christy Miller fan.

Not a big reader…but when I do it is usually parent help type books now.
My husband reads Ted Dekker too, but I can’t for the same reason you mentioned. I read the initial Frank Peretti books, but the later books like Monster I couldn’t read. **Shiver!** I loved Francine Rivers’ “Redeeming Love”. I loved Lynn Austin’s Chronicle of the Kings series. It was awesome!! I also loved Randy Singer’s “The Cross Examination of Oliver Finney/The Cross Examination of Jesus Christ”. Of course, anything by Randy Singer is wonderful.
