The Women of Easter Review

As we are coming up on spring and Easter I thought it very appropriate to read a book about the women that surround the events of Easter. Like her book, The Women of Christmas, Liz brings the women and events surrounding the death and resurrection of Jesus to life.

The book is thought provoking and really makes you think about these women as they interact with Jesus before his death as well as during the crucifixion and his resurrection. She talks in great detail about Mary of Bethany, Mary of Nazareth and Mary Magadalene. She also talks about Martha of Bethany and Salome as well. It is interesting to see how women have played a very vital role in the life of the Messiah but were the first evangelists mentioned in the Bible.

This study goes to show you how important women are to God and to his great plan for the world. He never excludes but always includes them. He never shied away from them and always treated them with great care and love.

Included in this study is a study guide that can be used for deeper personal study or together with a group. However, you use this book it will be a great resource for you and one I will recommend to friends and family.
